Patrick Albanese in Triple Espresso

For those of you who know me, or are at least familiar with meĀ in Des Moines, I played the disgruntled magician Buzz Maxwell in the play Triple Espresso that ran for such a long time. In the process of that run, I met my future wife, left Los Angeles, bought a house, and we are now raising two kids right here in Clive.

So what does a transplanted actor/magician do when a career that relies on extensive travel is no longer a viable option? He sells cars. Not just any cars. Hondas. One of the best brands available. And I’m having a blast doing it.

But there is something I’d like to accomplish in the car selling business. I’d like to make it fun. A supremely enjoyable process. When you are spending big bucks, you should enjoy it.

This desire comes from my own personal experience in buying cars. Most of the time, it was a pain. And I’m not talking about the negotiating part of it, that’s fine. I’m talking about sales people. I hated that they felt as if I were intruding upon their day. As if I, the buyer, were the enemy. As if I, the buyer, didn’t have needs that had to be met. As if I, the buyer, only represented a commission check.

It’s time for all that to go.

If you’re in Des Moines and considering a Honda for your next car, give me a try. You can always ask me to do a magic trick. And who can put a price on that?

If you have a specific question you’d like me to answer, or want to know how to get in that new Honda with minimal discomfort, fill in the box below. I’ll get back to you promptly.

Or, if you want a quick response, call me on my cell phone. 818-209-7139. Yeah, it’s my old California area code, but come on, we all have cell phones now, so it’s a free call.
